1. Using Simple Visitor Log

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Simple Visitor Log and its online dashboard for their intended purpose: checking in visitors at your place of business. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source code from them.

The iPad app is obtained through the App Store and is additionally governed by Apple’s standard end user licence agreement.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. Use an email address you control, and tell us right away if you think someone else has access.

We may suspend accounts that are used to break these terms or that put the service or other customers at risk.

3. Purchases

Simple Visitor Log is free to download. Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. There is no subscription.

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under their refund policy. We are glad to help you get to the right place, but we cannot issue those refunds ourselves.

4. Your content and your visitors

You are responsible for the information you and your visitors enter, and for having the right to collect it. If you gather names, photos, signatures, or contact details from members of the public, you are the data controller for that information and are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including telling your visitors how their information is used.

Only send invites to people you are expecting. Do not use Simple Visitor Log to send unsolicited email, to collect information unlawfully, to harass anyone, or in a way that violates the rights of the people whose data you are collecting.

5. Availability

We work to keep the online dashboard, invites, and this website running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Your iPad keeps checking in visitors even when the dashboard is unreachable. Features may change or be retired as the product evolves.

6. Disclaimer and liability

Our software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or lost business.

Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose. Export your visitor log regularly.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. The date above reflects the most recent revision, and continuing to use our software after an update means you accept the revised terms.
